Nilaveli Beach

Nilaveli beach is located a few kilometres away from Trincomalee. This is a very clean and peaceful beach. Nilaveli is a beautiful beach that has pearly white sand and crystal-clear water. This is one of the stunning beaches in the east coofast Sri Lanka. This beach is lined with lots of restaurants and bars. So, you can relax the by beachside having delicious food.

There is an area called pigeon island which is a 10-minute boat ride from Nilaveli beach. You can swim with turtles and sharks on pigeon island. The most stunning thing to do onNilaveli beach is its coral reef. It's your responsibility to protect corals as most people destroy them.

And there is a beach called Uppuveli beach which is around 15 minutes from Nilaveli beach. You can visit there too and can have your day having a cocktail and a perfect meal by the beachside.

Unawatuna Beach

Unawatuna beach is a fantastic place for surfing, snorkelling and many more. Unawatuna beach is located in Galle, Sri Lanka. This is one of the famous tourist attractions in Sri Lanka. This is 108 km away from Colombo. This beach is known for its beach and corals.

You can visit there by a tuktuk or you can rent and drive your own tuk-tuk to zoom around the Unawatuna area.

There is an Instagram famous place in Unawatuna. That is ' the coconut swing at Dalawella beach".

As Unawatuna is famous for surfing you can use four ways of surfing waves. They are spilling waves, plunging waves, surging waves and collapsing waves. And standing on the board and surfingare also famous in Unawatuna.

There are beachside restaurants and bars that provide you with delicious meals.

If you visit Unawatuna do not forget to visit Galle Fort which is a 15-minute tuk ride from Unawatuna beach.

Arugam Bay

Arugam Bay is a beautiful beach situated in Ampara district Sri Lanka. It is a famous surfing spot and perfect for nature lovers. There are beachside guesthouses and oceanside restaurants. So, you can spend your day having delicious food and surfing in the Arugambay beach.

Arugambay is one of the major chill spots. It has moon shaped or curl, golden sand. This is a perfect place for sun seekers too. You can relax by beachside having king coconut water and it is a different kind of vibe.

If you are a beginner in surfing you can visit Whiskey point which is 15 minutes away from Arugam bay. You can start to learn your surfing lessons there.

Hikkaduwa Beach

Hikkaduwa beach is nearly 143 km away from Galle. It is also a major tourist attraction in Sri Lanka.

Hikkaduwa is an ideal place for watersports such as surfing and diving. Not only you can go for relaxing massages near Hikkaduwa beach but also can have delicious seafood meals from beachside restaurants.

There are perfect surfing spots at Hikkaduwa. Some of them are North Jetty, Narigama beach, Owakanda and the main reef.

As the water of the beach is so crystal clear you can get to see different kinds of coral formations which house a large variety of fishes and turtles.

You can do water sports such as snorkelling, swimming, surfing, scuba diving, body surfing and boating at Hikkaduwa beach.

By visiting Narigama beach which is near Hikkaduwa beach you can watch beautiful sunsets. And if you want to explore the underwater world you can visit coral reef gardens as well.

Mirissa Beach

Mirissa Beach is situated in Mirissa on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in the Matara district of the Southern province. It is a beautiful, safe and quiet beach. It is a fishing port as well as one of the island's main whale and dolphin watching locations. Mirissa became one of the popular tourist attractions because of itsnightlife.

Mirissa beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. You can spend the day enjoying the crystal blue water and having delicious food from beachside restaurants.

Coconut tree hill which is surrounded by coconut trees is one of the mustplaces to go if you visit Mirissa Beach.

And there is a beach called Secret beach and it is around the corner from the main beach Mirissa. You can have fun by visiting there too.
