The following are the terms and conditions for accessing and using the Dark Events website. By getting access, you agree to follow these terms and conditions as well as any applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
If you do not agree with these Terms of Service, please do not access or use the service offered by Dark Events.
Future updates to our privacy statement will be posted here with a new effective date indicated. It would be best if you visit our privacy policy frequently to ensure you are familiar with the most recent guidelines.
Dark Events service is meant exclusively for private, non-commercial use. By accepting this agreement, you acknowledge that Dark Events does not grant you rights to copy, download, publish, edit, share, or otherwise use any of the content on the application for any reason.
You also declare that you will not use Dark Events services for any other reason besides subscribing, reviewing the content there, and buying event tickets for your personal use.
Payment Options
Online Payment Option
All payments depend on each bank's terms and conditions, and we have no control over bank payment gateway transactions. We do not store your payment or any other confidential information, such as your credit card number, password, or PIN.
And the bank that operates your transaction may securely store your credit or debit card information. And all prices on the website and the mobile app include relevant Value Added Tax (VAT) and Nation Building Tax.
Ticket Policy of Usage
The rules and regulations of the event and the venue apply to all tickets. Before purchasing a ticket, the customer is responsible for getting used to the rules and regulations and for adhering to them.
Under no circumstances may a customer be entitled to a refund if they have been excluded from an event by the organizer, its agents, venue management, or security.
Food, drink, cameras, audio and video recording devices, chairs, and objects deemed illegal, harmful, dangerous, or suspected weapons are just a few of the things that the organizer or venue management may impose restrictions on. If a customer is refused entry to the event or is removed by the organizers or venue management for bringing, or attempting to bring, a prohibited item into the venue, Dark Events shall not be held responsible and shall not refund the cost of the ticket purchase.
Refunds will not be given if a customer cancels their booking for an event for any reason. And it is the customer's obligation to arrive at the event on time. Latecomers may be denied entry by certain venues and organizers. No refunds will be issued in those circumstances.
It is crucial to understand that when you purchase event tickets, we will email you a reference number and a QR code associated with your ticket. To enter the event, you needed either the reference number or the QR code. If you lose both, you will be unable to join the event and will need to purchase a new ticket.
Policy of Ticket Purchase
Except in the circumstances listed below in the Refunds Policy, tickets bought through the website are not refundable.
Tickets cannot be exchanged outside of the specific circumstances listed in the Refunds Policy below.
Most of the time, the full amount of the ticket should be paid at the time of purchase, and the ticket is sent to the customer via email soon after the transaction is finished. In case, that a credit or debit card is used fraudulently, lost, stolen, or used without the owner's consent, Dark Events maintains the right to cancel the fraudulently purchased tickets and not refund the original purchaser.
It is the customer's responsibility to keep their tickets secure from misplacement or unauthorized use. Dark Events does not issue refunds or replace lost or stolen tickets. This applies to both printed and electronically issued tickets. If a customer's electronic Ticket is copied/stolen and used and scanned before the Customer enters the Event, the Customer will be denied entry because the Ticket was canceled at the time of first use. In this case, no refund will be given to the customer.
At the point of entry to the Event, Dark Events may require the Customer to provide proof that they are the original purchaser of the Ticket in the form of an acceptable original photo ID such as a passport, driver's license, national ID card, and/or by presenting the original credit/debit card used to purchase the tickets in order.
Dark Events delivers out purchased tickets as PDF files via email. It is the responsibility of the Customer to provide Dark Events with a valid, working email address for Ticket delivery, and to check their Inbox for the email that includes the PDF of the Ticket. The Customer can print this PDF and use it as an entry ticket.
For a small fee, it is possible to request the delivery of the Ticket as a URL link delivered via SMS or Email to the Customer's Smartphone in particular instances.
Refund Policy
The organizers are in charge of organizing and managing the event, while Dark Events is in charge of providing tickets on their behalf. Tickets cannot be returned, exchanged, or transferred unless the requirements outlined below are met.
- If the main Artist is unable or unwilling to perform.
- If the main Artist changes the date of the performance.
- If the start or finish time of the Event is significantly changed, defined as a shift of at least five hours or more from the initially announced time.
And it is the Customer's responsibility to determine whether there are any restrictions on entrance to the Event before purchasing a Ticket from the Website. If the organizer refuses access to the event for any reason, including failing to satisfy age requirements or engaging in hazardous, bothersome, disorderly, or unlawful behavior, Dark Events will not be taken responsibility and will not be refunded the value of the tickets purchased.
Customers can request in writing to Dark Events for a refund within 30 days of the Event or, in the case of canceled or postponed events, within 30 days of the date of the notification that the Event is postponed or canceled due to above mentioned circumstances only.
Customers will only be given the opportunity to exchange ticket if the event got postponed, customers may be given the option of using their original ticket for a rescheduled date for the event, or, in the case of Events with multiple performances, they may be given the option of exchanging their original Ticket for a Ticket of similar value and seating quality for another performance on a different day.
However, if the new location is 20 km away from the original venue or be of significantly lesser quality in terms of services, amenities, and ambiance than the original venue, it is considered as a justifiable basis for a refund.
Leaving of an Event after it has begun for any reason, including but not limited to weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, lockout, failure in power supply, the action of a governmental body, or any other acts of circumstances beyond the Organizer's reasonable control, will not be considered justifiable reasons for issuing a refund.
Dark Events maintains the right to deduct up to 5% of the original purchase price being refunded to cover handling costs and bank charges associated with the refund procedure. To obtain a refund based on the circumstances mentioned above, please email Dark Events at info@darkevents.lk
